The healthcare bill would have fixed nothing. The issue isn't coverage or even insurance the issue is flat out price. The prices for same products and services overseas is much cheaper. You can go to Japan and get an MRI done for $200, here it cost north of $4,500. For that price you could buy 3 round trip tickets and fly to Japan for $1,000 a pop and have 3 MRIs done! The Epipen is the poster child for all that is wrong in the US with healthcare. The govt. already has the laws and tools in place to fix it the just refuse to enforce them on US healthcare industry. Until that is done nothing will be fixed. The US govt. spends 37% of every dollar taken in on healthcare and in recent years the cost is going up 9% every year for govt.
