... and how much did they have to pay the lawyers for HHSE, who got the original judgment set aside, so they could get this settlement.
I don't know, and likely it is a sealed settlement, as is usually the case.
But.... I do know the law firm that represented HHSE in this matter, and I know what they bill for hourly services, and I can estimate based on the number of filings how much time they spent.
Plus, I KNOW that Boal Photography certainly did not settle the matter for less than the original amount due, plus some amount for the length of time they went without payment, as well as the significant amount they paid in legal fees.
So I will estimate, that at a bare minimum, based on all we know, this little $1,000 case cost at least $6,000 for HHSE to have settled, and likely closer to $10,000.
