If anyone doubts the benefit of a 12 Billion R&D budget and a massive validation department let the Rizen gaming fiasco and reported lockups be an abject lesson.
Now a guy in Milan or Melbourne experiencing a lock up on his crap AMD desktop is one thing. Are you telling me FB, Google, etc will accept this level of quality control in their datacentres on Naples which runs the exact same cores and if anything is more complex due to its MCM arrangement ?
People rant and rave about perf/per dollar/per watt etc.,and rightly so, but they always forget the most important metric which Intel has excelled at for the last decade particularly in the DC market.... QUALITY!!!!
