It is odd. But I've seen stranger things. There's been dead stocks that just spike for no real reason. I was stuck in a stock like this some years ago and one week it got big volume and spiked a few .0001's and I was able to get out and break even.
My only reasoning is it could be an investment group of people buying and just flipping. You get a enough deep pockets buying say 5k or 10k dollars worth each you can move these penny stocks enough to double or triple your pockets...Just a matter of buying up the shares on the open market.
