Buying a co which what? They would need ton of shares issued to do that. The SP may not increase much (may be an initial strike then drift down to reflect the ton of shares co has after the buy. That is Y they have to do a big RS to meet NASDAQ requirement. The co decided that it is not worthy to follow this plan for now. They think a good deal with any F50 could easily meet the same goal w/o a RS (at least not at the moment). IMO
Never was any money to buy a company. It sounded more like an arranged marriage brokered by venture capitalist with strong liklihood our holdings would be further diluted.
