IMO, it was never a scam. Run with absolute incompetence....absolutely.

The best scams leave their marks unaware they were 'taken'.

For the record, I don't believe TRTN/JBII/PTOI qualifies as a 'best' scam.

But it sure has operated that way. Maybe Bordynuik got lucky, or maybe the Niagara region is a 'target rich' environment for marks.

Anyway, Bordynuik laughed all the way to the bank.

Bullshit.... Bordynuik and family enriched themselves....He studied and hunted down OTC shells and the way owners profited before hand...used a entity like Jacklin to initiate the deal ... awarded himself and family free trading shares....Lied about finding process onold NASA tapes....Lied about 10 dollars a barrel ...Lied about taking salary... commited security fraud...sold millions of shares without disclosure...Used his children's trust fund illegally...Put out nonsense filings over and over.....hid revenue within cardboard sales... .Used I well known stock pimps on a message boards....And on and on....the obvious thing is a guy on another site keeps asking a is why doesn't anybody ever question why plastic is cheaper to recycle than to put into pyrolysis....But this isn't a scam ?

Get friggin real.

Scams are designed by nature to take the weak minded , rubes , and simpletons in.

Scams are supposed to look real to the weak minded, rubes, and simpletons.

Scams enrich the initiators and fleece the weak minded, rubes , and simpletons.

Scams rely on the most weak minded, rubes, and simpletons to relay information to other rubes with reports of activity with first hand reports of what they see.

Those are the bottom of the barrel rubes.

Bordynuik used JBI as scam. It's undeniable.

And IMO it still is far from a scam, despite the constant labeling, which is way too easy. You don't produce hundreds of thousands of gallons of ultra-clean low sulphur diesel fuel if you are a scam.

You don't get multi-year NYDEC permits if you haven't been tested and vetted by more than one third party whose business it is to detect bullshit science and engineering.

JBI/PTOI was never "groomed" for wall street beforehand... it was a mom and pop start-up that was by definition naive, and got taken advantage of by some bad external actors, and eventually ran out of money, until Heddle came in and kept it afloat.

The technology from the founder is not the issue.

Never was a scam and the company never had experienced management, and STILL doesn't.

Waiting on Heddle is like waiting for Godot, but at least he has backstopped it, and the company is still reporting.

IMO, it was never a scam.

How is it possible for an incompetent Bordynuik and friends to wind up with millions, and shareholders are stuck with write-offs until the end of time?

It seems TRTN/JBII/PTOI worked to enrich a small group of stock promoters (Bordynuik being the top promoter).

Shares were the product being hawked. Plastic catalysts and rotating steel drums were the side-show.

The real magic was taking worthless shares of a non-operating shell, and turning those into cash for a select few insiders. The money is gone; the non-operating shell has returned.

A share structure of *only* 120 million shares? That's enviable?

I don't envy the holders of those worthless chits of paper.
