What? Whether or not QMC eventually gets a piece of business in China is irrelevant to this conversation. I was responding to a specific assumption I saw as flawed. These discussions are not binary, i.e., QMC is going to be a huge success! or QMC is going to fail! They are often wrt specific data, specific opinions, specific issues, etc.
In this case, it is yesterday's news that Nanosys announced a Chinese film partner with a plant already built and large production orders in hand. (Congrats to them!) It is news and competitive intelligence. I am not sure why, but as is typical, the sharing of any news that is a positive for a QD industry competitor is taken as a personal attack on QMC. And as usual, a pro-QMC proclamation is made to defend the homeland. Often these defenses rely on assumptions, miss the point, or focus on the least significant tree in the forest. The reality is that there is a school of thought that QMC WILL SUCCEED! but there is no such equal and opposite clan that claims they will fail. And unfortunately, every debate is corrupted by this.
