TA, I'm a long time long and expect the better days are ahead of us but to be very simple about the issue of revenue recognition I can't imagine who told you that revenue could be corrctly claimed based on an order received. Again to be simple, let's use two examples that would cause revenue to not be taken in a given quarter - 1) something not shipped/ has not left the back door, and 2) something that had a contingency on it usually won't be official while strings are attached. Unless there is some other set of rules for small items or ?? I'd be surprised that revenue can be counted as suggested before 2001 - certainly can't do it in the tech business.
That said, I hope those days are just history and the future gets us back on track.
