andrewflying My impression from the reply is that SIAF has had little success in growing prawns in the Mega Farm because the tanks there are much bigger than in the other farms and this has caused problems. As far as I remember they tried to grow prawns there as early as almost one year ago. Moreover, at the current point of time with big financing on the stocks it is therefore very important to prove beyond any doubt that it is possible to grow fish or praws in the Mega Farm in a profitable way. For these reasons next to no prawns will be grown in the Mega Farm this year. But the challenges are not regardet as insurmountable. It is expected that prawns will be grown in the new tanks to be built in the part of the Mega Farm that still remains to be built.
