There will be not much, if any, direct impact. A U.S. Attorney is a federal prosecutor, "a lawyer appointed by the President in each judicial district to prosecute and defend cases for the federal government." The only US Attorney known to be working on a main GSE case is Kenneth Magidson, a 2011 Obama nominated and Senate confirmed US Attorney. Magidson is/was? assigned to the Collins et. al. vs. FHFA and Treasury in US District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. See: https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdtx/meet-us-attorney.

The 94 US Attorneys are part of the DOJ's Criminal Division and have minor activities related to the District Court and US Appeals Court civil cases (GSE cases) that are handled by attorneys from the DOJ's Civil Division, Commercial Litigation section and Appellate Staff.

So Kenneth Magidson may be out with the 46 asked to resign. For the other GSE cases, the attorneys on file have to be checked against the provided list for each case to see if any US Attorneys are present.
