I agree strongly about the history aspect of this story. Humans are human and that side never really changes. I was watching a Willie Nelson interview a few weeks ago and Willie's a guy that's been around and seen a few things in his time.
The interviewer asked him what his take was on life and what he's learned over the course of his career as a musician. His response was he thought people were very much alike where ever he went. It didn't matter where you're from we all still have the same tendencies. I thought his answer was very telling.
