#1182 RE: Brad S #1181

You guys might want to be a little more circumspect in your denigration of science.

Consider the contribution environmental scientists could make if they used balloon technology to measure the heat content of political belching by the like of Joe Lieberman.

Joe is supported by everybody from George Bush to NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League or whatever the hell the name is). All the mainstream environmental groups like the the Sierra Club support Holy Joe as do the "screw the caribou, punch holes everywhere" gang. Simply everybody supports the candidate of the Connecticut for Lieberman Party - except the voters. That is one guy who could still make a contribution to the environment with his own personal digester if the Connecticut for Lieberman Party fails to get representation in the Senate with the other major parties.

Hard to find a politician that couldn't do the same though none are likely to be able to top Lieberman IMHO.

Surely one of the attractions of IESV is its contribution to limiting environmental damage from farming.

Why do folks want to make fun of those attempting to measure, no matter how crudely and maybe ineffectually, the damage done to the environment by economic activity? I was born into a farm family. My impression was that farmers generally cared a hell of a lot more about the environment than the shoe salesmen in town.

Just my dumb Sunday sermon.

Please forgive. TIA.

Best, Terry
