I agree, it seems improbable but not at all impossible.
Just to made a discussion here...
Note the middle east, the biggest cheap oil source, could easily go up in flames.
Many other parts of the oil producing world are politically unstable.
Fracking wells have very short lifetimes , growingly apparent earthquake hazards, and serious environmental shortcomings.
Offshore drilling is shifting to deeper water and that is vulnerable , risky and expensive.
Trump says he's going to put big tariffs on imports. Canada is a foreign country.
Not so long ago, folks assumed $100/BBL was the future.
