It is really hard to compare process capabilities on the basis of a
couple of point products. These two new AMD chips could have their
frequency and TDP defined in a way that 90% of good die could meet
them or only the very best 10% with the expectation of collecting and
down SKUing the rest with follow on economy offerings.

What I was actually referring to with my statement is that Ryzen actually seems to be more power efficient (in contrast to what TCE is claiming) since its idle as well as its full load power are lower than that of a comparable Intel processor (which is also a lot more expensive). Andy also posted some statement that Ryzen is a lot denser than comparable Intel processors. That seems to be a decent showing of Samsung/Glofos 14nm process.

Yields, we don't know but since many products in high volume are going to be produced on that process, I think Intel will have a very hard time to match those prices, especially considering their presumably not so dense designs (for whatever reasons) and Intel's probable disadvantage in production automatization
