There's not a whole lot of resistance from this administration with regard to medical marijuana, but it was certainly a topic they weren't quite prepared to discuss publicly in terms of establishing policy. They clearly painted themselves into a corner here with these comments - and I suspect the consequence will be a rescheduling for MJ under the current system or an entirely new and MJ-less scheduling system
