Accept it isn't just CBD. That would be an oil. They have a cream. You also can't patent CBD oil, it's a naturally occurring material.

Nor would a simple cbd oil require IRB testing, because natural CBD oil is not a drug, its a plant derived oil. Same as lavender oil or aromatherapy oils which are not regulated.

They use CBD as part of a compound based in their cream. You might be able to get some relief smearing cbd oil on one's skin, but it would not be the same precise, and prescribed dosage as a a medical, pharmacy grade cream

No, not necessarily. This company has patented and proprietary delivery systems to get the active ingredients to where they need to be. Just putting CBD oil on your psoriasis may not work at all, or not as well. Other companies might end up licensing their patented delivery systems. Time will tell.
