birdy, I love the story and I can get the picture clearly that you are a good guy with great values and sense of what's really important in life. But, to be quite honest with you, my whole point initially was about frustration over the lack of info coming from the management of this company. Not sure how we got so far off track from that, but I'm glad you made that charitable offering for that family that is struggling and I have no doubt you made their week. Good job.

You're a good person Birdy.
Same here. I was out on Thursday afternoon after my wife's cancer checkup and a man in need came up to me. He needed some money for gas to get home. (probably not) but I gave him some money and he went on his way likely to get dinner or maybe some booze. Felt good to help someone. I too had made about $500 on Fannie Mae stock this past week. While I don't associate my luck with kindness like you, I do believe in the power of being positive.

I do believe we should help others in need through any means possible. I came from a poor, hard working family. Sometimes money was tough to come by but not helping people who need something to avert suffering & loneliness.
Like I said, I have seen a lot of suffering when my wife wound her way through her Chemo, radiation and surgery. You can't believe what a kind word or deed can do to uplift a person. So pass it along...I
