Could be that some above average math skills are required to use Afrezza (meaning, beyond 6th grade math) -- many can't figure it out.

I am on the same path as you, but it is more than users math skills in play.

First, w/o any dramatically better guidance the only way they can really nail the dosing is by multiple glucose pin pricks. I will defer to Trend on his assertion that this is just as uncomfortable as the insulin needles.

There was a paper posted here about a month or two ago that showed this. It was actually a computer study, but when they allowed simulated patients to tritate Afrezza based on a post meal test they did much better than any others.

So the company has to find a way to solve the individual dosing issue. They have been dancing around it for years. How many times do we here about new sample sizes and such?

With the recent approval of electronic non-invasive glucose testing the solution could be at hand. And yes, a phone app would be exactly what is needed.

IMO, it is that or die.
