FRED FALK:
"The ECLIPSE by Fujitsu Ten is an in-car entertainment system designed to replace the disc-changer. With a 40-Gb removable hard drive, the ECLIPSE by Fujitsu Ten will store and playback MP3 files and allow the users to record FM transmissions with our unique "Write-Back" feature to capture content already broadcast.
Planned enhancements include VoiceNav (voice navigation), wireless connectivity, video playback, game support and many other applications. Through the development cycle of this product, its scope has expanded to have broader applications encompassing a wider range of devices than initially planned. The feedback we have received from ECLIPSE indicates a strong interest from OEM partners and retailers, alike. Even with the heavily expanded design perameters, the products are scheduled for delivery this quarter. The ECLIPSE by Fujitsu Ten product will be one of the first of its kind to market. This early market penetration combined with our expertise, proprietary design and partners, ECLIPSE and Toyota, provide a strong position for us in an untapped marketplace."
If we can`t obtain a patent, perhaps being one of the first to market is the next best thing ...
