All I ask is that someone produce the patent application number so that the claims being made about "Write Behind" be verified.
He writes to RP all of the time to get information and posts RP's responsed on the boards. Why not this time? Does he know that EDIG does not have a patent pending on this technology?

torf, RP stated in an recent email that the "WRITE BEHIND" technology belongs to e.Digital...but you knew that.
The company's CES 2002 PR, when they first introduced the ECLIPSE product to the industry, clearly states that the technology is PATENT PENDING.
From the USPTO web site:
l. What do the terms "patent pending" and "patent applied for" mean?
They are used by a manufacturer or seller of an article to inform the public that an application for patent on that article is on file in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The law imposes a fine on those who use these terms falsely to deceive the public.
