Don't really see any silver lining here right now. We have just entered a wait mode with no timeframe for achieving the spin off of Metropolitan. Actually, a period of waiting out uncertainty has no redeeming value. I own shares here, and I will wait it out (perhaps buying more if it gets ridiculously low) and see what happens. I can be a little more pragmatic , as I do not hold millions of shares.
Time to just kick back and see what happens. That works for me and am not trying to speak for others. Each of us has to do what seems best and most comfortable.
