I see that these are really options and not an immediate transfer. One could reasonably interpret this as their having confidence in the future.
No, I am not enthusiastic about the dilution to shareholders and enrichment to the Cola household. I would much prefer that these sorts of options were granted AFTER there was a significant benefit to shareholders. MC already has a substantial number of shares, and it would be nice to see these sorts of options being given AFTER there is a significant, a very significant gain by the company to earn them, rather than granting them based upon the performance over the past few years. MC has drawn a very reasonable salary.
IF there is a big run up as these shares vest, it will calm things down a bit. Have to wait and see.
