He has also touted his company to friends and family via social media, and you don't brag about your company to friends and family that may potentially buy your stock if you have even the smallest inkling that it will not perform well.

Unless he's a moron. I've seen it plenty of times, a CEO that's in the beginning stages of his company and completely loses control of his excitement and starts telling everyone.

I'm in agreeance with you that this company could do quite well, I don't agree that a company will do well just because he touted out to friends and family.
Quite honestly it makes me a bit more speculative on the CEO, who happens to control the company.
