I went thru same thing 4 years ago.
Except you have the real Diverticulosis by what you telling me mine was a one time freak out situation.

Bill was over 8k for less then 24 hours.
Pumped me with all kinds of drugs.

I had no insurance. Self employed.
Asked for an itemized bill.
That showed me a good part of why our health insurance is such a scam.
So been paying 40.00 a month to pay it off.

Only reason I got Diverticulosis was cause I was pumping ibuprofen into me due to ankle injury so I could work.

Did to many and well .......... you know what happens. Freaked me out.

Doctors sent me home with all sorts of do not eat this bla bla bla saying I had it.

I on the other hand figured out why it happened and eat all the HEALTHY things they told me not to eat.

I hope the best for you. That is just a terrible situation you are in.
