I have also been in since EFSF and the road has been long. I was initially in around .42 so I was red big-time. I cost averaged down over the years to around 10. I agree that you shouldn't put anymore in that you cannot afford to lose. I sure hope for me and you this pay's off. People on here calling themselves longs have no idea what long is.
I appreciate the detailed response. I'm a pretty conservative guy and wasn't so much looking for a complete personal finance plan/strategy although your suggestions are pretty inline with my approach. I've already invested 4% of my rainy day fund and was considering addding to that position. The hypothetical scenario was mostly meant to gauge level of confidence by those in here. I understand that this may not be the most unbiased source but I can adjust
