It's a reasonable question for 'zipjet' to ask, but such a vendor switch is extremely unlikely (<0.5% chance), IMO.

May be good not to have a single point of failure.

So having two vendors could avoid being shut out of the market completely and when the time to next competitor is critical and pricing will fall you may want to assure maximizing sales even if there is a marginal cost of the second vendor.
