Originally developed in partnership with scientists at Temple University in Philadelphia, Penn., AOT is the energy industry's first crude oil pipeline technology using low-wattage electrical fields to optimize the performance of midstream pipeline systems. A current installation on a high volume commercial pipeline recently provided the Company with its first SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) output using a standard AOT vessel. The upcoming AOT-XL was reconfigured from the latest version of the AOT and conceptualized through QS Energy's collaboration with Temple University researchers, and the Company's supply chain and manufacturing partners.
I interpret the first half of the paragraph as a very brief historical summary of the AOT in general. I don't think it is saying that the "SCADA" customer and the AOT-XL customer are one and the same.
scada is even used in food services, it's nothing fancy, EASILY researched. To do ANY sort of testing and to have data correlated to the systems running a pipeline part of the testing proceedure would be to 'integrate' with scada. It was done on Trans Canada test, it would have been done at the PRCI.. in short, big whoop. Beggar likes to throw around big techy sounding words to excite the Beliebers, but honestly, it's not really hard to research this stuff and see through it as more NR fluffity fluff fluff hype.
