I went fishing Monday night and kept 9 channel cats. 3/4 pd - 2 pds, just the right size for eating. I blackened them on an open fire in a hot iron skillet and thought they were so good? I bundled up and went again last night. I had to clear the ice from my rod a couple of times, but managed to bring home 10 more.
I usually eat a few, then either give the rest away or freeze them. My freezer is gathering quite a collection. Might be time for a good old fashioned fish fry?
