That article doesn't even attempt to make an argument.

Ackman dropped his suit in U.S. District Court, the same court that recently dismissed several other shareholder lawsuits. His lawsuit would have been presided over by the same judge, and there's no reason to believe that the same judge would reach a different ruling on what is essentially an identical lawsuit.




As of the companies' just-announced earnings, the government has been paid back every dollar of its more than $188 billion bailout, plus another $37 billion or so on top of it.



If someone really wants to know what's going on in the courts - find and listen to the oral arguments from April 2016. They didn't go well for the defendants... and the new documents that the gov't is no longer attempting to hide because of the new AG and Mnuchin are going to make their defense even more limp.

So you can keep posting articles from 3 years ago but their speculative nature and age make them fairly irrelevant to the current situation.
