He might increase his salary, but as for his statement in the CC, I took that to be a bit of a joke -- sort of saying that he doesn't take that decision lightly, since he holds 800,000 shares himself.
He doesn't strike me as the sort of person who would claim that the company needs cash, cut the dividend for that reason, and then put all the proceeds directly into his pocket.
I guess time will tell. But I think this dividend cut is a good idea. And I like it that they went ahead an pulled the band-aid off quickly.
