Who else had access to that many shares except CD holder!? Werent that many shares to sell until conversions

The questions is WHY did they get bought up so quickly within days of RS notice. No MM is going to buy shares when there is panic selling and they do not know when RS occurring. Everyone was screaming how the price would spiral down immediately after RS....the why people sold part is easy to explain but WHY buy 2 billion shares??? That part is harder to explain, huh?
