Yup. WMT has been a very pathetic and lousy long term holding for anyone who invested in WMT shares 15 + years ago. And 15 years ago, in 2001 -2002 time frame WMT was trading right about where it is today, i.e. in the $60's.
The fact remains that Walmart is still a good retailer on the very low end for price conscious shoppers, but it is far too big to achieve any real growth or be a good investment holding for folks wanting capital appreciation and growth. BRK and Buffett were smart to jump ship.
