Charts are used... by many traders to evaluate entry points, patterns and risk. However, I think the point being made here is 2 fold. 1) if you are long the short term price doesn't matter to you and therefore charts have much less value. And 2) more importantly any insight gained from charting patterns is trumped by any news/developments positive or negative. A chart insight that shows likely oversold or low RSI or a positive candle formation, would suggest PPS upside In The near term, however if negative news were to come out the insight from charting would be worth less or vice versa
The value of this company is dependent on the success of the trial which a chart pattern can not encompass
