I have loaned some of my NTRP shares to Schwab at an annual rate of over 45%.
Before anyone asks, I know Schwab is turning around and loaning out my shares to shorts at even higher rates and I don't care. By definition these are legal shorts (matched to a specific set of borrowed shares) not naked shorts. I like getting paid while I wait for my investment to come to fruition. Since I don't care about short term price swings I really don't care if there is a short position or how big it is.
Fwiw Schwab has borrowed other stocks from me at similar rates - xxii, HTBX and APRI right now and others in the past.
