Don't be surprised too... Some executives have stock option incentives AFTER creating success.

Look at all the CEOs of the world who are paid six-figure salaries, but annual income from stock options is what gives them MILLIONS.

The richest CEOs in the world aren't rich from their salary and they're not given tremendous amounts of shares when they become CEO... They're awarded after PROVING themselves.
