Fuzzy is letters following name applies rather than ones in front. Shriver, M.D. is I think Mark Shriver of Penn State. I believe his name is Mark.

The confusion has to do sloppy bibliography. Take a look:

Mr. Parra's initials, "E.J.", are often confused with Mark Shriver's surname. It doesn't help when they omit Mark's initials.

Gold...lol It's last name first, followed by initials: Shriver, M.D., as in the one from PSU.
