#23371 RE: CIronman #23347

I'll just say that any company that goes bankrupt is for one reason, they get forced into bankruptcy by creditors. If they can get by with any means they would. Debt is one dangerous problem when it piles too high. If you want to gamble a little trade a little that's totally fine. But, any successful investor would tell you that long term investment requires steady and low risk growth over time.

Take IPCI for example, although I like what I saw with IPCI , but it's not a sure bet yet, and I'm currently only holding a small position long. While I asses the downside risk is minimal due to IPCI burn rate is low, minimal dilution in the past, little to no debt and looking to be at break even point and reporting positive eps this year. This makes me feel much at ease knowing it's unlikely IPCI would drop like a falling knife.

Not saying something bad wouldn't happen and this wouldn't go worthless, but the chance of that happening is relatively small compare to SUNE that could have gone BK any day back then. You would develop a strategy and only pick certain companies that qualifies. It can greatly lower your risk of losing everything. I guess a lot of people learn it the hard way before they become more successful at investment.
