Two interesting Buffett tidbits I just found:

"In the late 1980s, Buffett’s sister Doris was on the brink of bankruptcy after getting in over her head with derivatives. She begged her brother, now worth over $2 billion, to help out. He declined since he felt that he would be paying back speculators who were gambling irrationally. “I could have given a couple million dollars to her creditors if I’d wanted. But, you know, the hell with them,” said Buffett.

Buffett frequently made weight deals with his wife and children. In one, Warren though his adult son Howie should weigh 182.5 pounds. If Howie was over that weight, he paid Warren 26% of the gross profits of a farm they jointly owned to Warren. If he was under the weight, he paid 22%."
