Increased attention, etc., and now you have statements like:
In the fourth quarter we continue productive discussion several companies we are collaborating with to bring our technology to the consumer markets. Warwick Mills, which began working with our Monster SilkTM material in 2014, is set to craft the first fabrics from Dragon Silk over the next several months for the US Army and the protective textile market.
Additional Dragon Silk production from our US factory in 2017 is slated for sale to companies in the performance textiles, athletic wear, and luxury apparel markets. These first commercial deliveries are intended to form the basis for long term partnership and joint venture agreements.
sounds more like the new uber silk will replace ds and ds will replace ms..
I don't feel that is the case. The elasticity of MS will be desired in many applications and the rigid strength of DS in others. The new silk has the elasticity, so it is perfect to replace MS in those applications.
Also, after sleeping on it, I think the best way to utilize old IP such as MS or BR would be to license it out and let other sericulture companies work with it while giving a cut of profits or annual payment to KBLB.
