#29037 RE: smittysstocks #29036

A cop out? I asked Due Dillgence3 for his comments. His comments have made sense to me previously. Why a cop out? I provided the link to the full, accurate, version, for Heaven's sake.

As to costs: I think you have said various things including that the costs only claim is somewhere between 25K and 125K. This actually seems reasonable to me, and I think the costs award is likely to be around 100k. But it remains to be decided. The costs of $6190.00 is I believe for HP's costs, which I don't think were controversial. Arbitration continues on the final questions.

What was decided today is that there were unsupported claims for postage, long distance calls and faxes, and photocopies. If you say the amount of the reduction is $9000.00, I believe you. I think that is a lot not relative to the total amount claimed, but because it seems like a lot of unsupported long distance phoning and postage and photocopies. If it is actually that high, I'd suggest the law firm seeks out a new long distance provider, and perhaps consider sending things electronically rather than paying stamps or shoving letters in to fax machines. Or keep better receipts.

And it was decided that Dimension is not entitled to be reimbursed for the actual expense of hiring lawyers. So they seem to have spent what is quite a lot of money to go after a declaration that they own a licence to use something they have been using for years.
