The FLEX system seems like a good system for NOTES procedures.
There are a number of differences with the system when compared to SPORT obviously, but the biggest one being the surgical instrumentation, essentially the end effectors, are not robotically controlled. They are essentially flexible laparoscopic instruments of the traditional kind. The leap to robotic control is the big challenge and years of development would be required. Not to mention 100 million plus dollars, give or take a 100 million or so.
