That article was written in 2015 and we are in 2017. So far it has not happened and it is too early to talk about that. Even this year 3XD Memory will be only $300M. It does not even register on radar of Intel revenue. We should wait before this bears fruit.

If Intel can do $0 to $300 million in 2017, and ramp up even faster in 2018 (as indicated by BK during the conference call), I think the article is very pertinent, though early.

And AFAIK, Investment is forward looking :)
