#42137 RE: Ed the Trader #42132

The area we had at the time was a portion of Volusia county in Fl., every distributor has a territory set by AB. Our distributor was Quality Brands in DeLand Fl. witch sold out to another neighboring wholesaler 6 years ago.

As for advertising it works two ways.
1. When a distributor picks up a brand/product they do 99% of marketing printing in there in-house print shop. Meaning, Window Signs, Cool Clings, Shelf Wobblers and so forth. The distributors salesman is the one that places these items in the accounts. We also would set up promos meaning tastings, giving out samples, stickers, shirts and what ever else DNA would give us. They would also be at the promo if it was a large event that drew a lot of people.

2. DNA did have a rep that covered our territory but usually they can cover up to probably 5 distributors areas. That person would also be out in the market promoting and selling the product, hanging signs, working product into the coolers and doing whatever else they could to help.

The distributors that sign distribution agreements are the one that do the majority of the marketing for smaller companies like this only because the smaller companies don't have the resources to do the things the big distributors can. Besides, AB's (and meaning the distributors) distribution of getting the product to market, on the selves and in the stores is second to none.

THIS IS MY OPINION!!!!I If Adrian is or is going to reach out to the AB distributors again i feel he's going to have a hard time getting some of them to agree to distribute again because of what happen deep in the company. I still have contacts with a BIG wholesaler and will find out if DNA has reached out to them again.
