It may not have in itself "caused" the drop to $8 but it likely was a contributor to shorts pressuring the stock down to $8.

Then what caused the decline? stocks like this are very Newtonian...tend to stay in motion in the direction they were in...the Amgen deal turned the motion into an upward motion or momentum. the share sales kneecapped that and turned it into a down motion...where we have been trapped since as there has been no significant news...that is the way a technical trader would describe it
