My arguments do not relate to how good and how big Matin's contribution was or not, neighter was it about Matin's motivation.

All I said is that to get named on a board, your potential fellow board members have to accept you.

For them to do so, if they represent large, serious organisations, they must find out if the candidate is going or not to expose them to be seen as associated to "criminals".

In this specific case, the board already having ex-Matin's associates, at least one having left because of personnal disagreements, Matin's background check was quite easy to do.

One has to beleive that the board of this reputable organisation did just that and concluded that having Matin on board was appropriate.
