That partially depends on what is in the documents.

I think its safe to say that the most damning of the documents are the ones under executive privilege. Those are not available to Mnuchin. The other documents can be released almost immediately, but I'm willing to bet those documents don't show anything of great importance.

Also, there is no "admit guilt". There are no criminal trials ongoing.

Also, Trump can't directly call for a settlement as he is not a party. However, the Treasury is a party and they can call for a partial settlement. Unfortunately, the likelihood of this happening is small since even if the Treasury settles for the NWS, they will still have the Conservatorship to deal with...and I doubt they are going to undo the NWS without handling the Conservatorship as well...and the Conservatorship is outside of thier ability to settle.
