Not a doctor either, however your deductions make perfect sense to me. I think there has been a pivot on since Fowler left to fast track this project to design freeze. Keeping the commercial team in tact while trimming your SAB sure seems to be a pretty big sign post pointing in that direction.
The company also seems to be in an intentional hibernation as far as their web profile/product promotion PR is concerned. I am more at ease with this approach than I was a couple of months ago as I believe Mr. McNally's credendials and proven experience point with confidence to him being the real deal and able to get this through end stage sooner rather than later. The fact that he has not already made drastic tweaks to the PR strategy tells me that something must be actively afoot.
IMHO the only explanation other than a Hail Mary Pass is that an agreement is in place for financing short term, and there will be a coming out party blitz showcasing our finished SPORT repleat with videos and Dr. testimonials (Larson and gang) in a few months. Once we get that CE mark soon, then that puts the firesale buyout arguement to rest - at least in terms of eggregious lowball offers.
I would like to see McNally's conditions on options strike prices - all low or are there larger incentives at higher price ranges. That will speak volumes. I also believe that they would not be advertising an excellent salary to the future VP of Engineering if they did not already have some funding lined up - in the cue.
All speculation of course and I understand the arguements of getting a funding plan in place first. However, McNally is very well connected not only in the industry and also in the venture capital arena. He is not a cut and run type of guy - he is a legacy guy - and in my view is in it to see this project to fruition. So far, he is not acting and executing in a similar vain of Hargrovian panic.
He's researched and taken on Titan in my view moreso than Titan has taken him on. He has a plan and a vision and my bet is that the major planks of that vision come to fruition immediately after April warrents expire. IMHO!
