If the price is not insanity crazy on Monday I will spend some time trying to put some realistic numbers into this. I realize the profit numbers are high for year one because week 1 we only have $500 coming in weeks 2 would be $1000 week 3 $1500 etc. not going to equal $312000

Where did you come up with the cost to look at the project at 5,000? That seems very over the top.

I appreciate you taking the time to churn out numbers.. Here are my thoughts

$5,000 a little high for traveling to check out sites. Each project then in essence stacks for the 5 years, so as projects complete it snowballs and stays on the books for the lifespan. 52 seems low if there is already 10 binding contracts and 30+ in the pipeline already. It seems we should also factor in that a "project" has multiple locations.. The one had what, 114? I'd assume the figures would apply to each location would be more accurate.

Also consider they haven't really marketed the residential side so factor in any sales from that.

I haven't looked into it but we've heard 1.3 or 2.6 million dollars annually from Enertrade.

I certainly have a list of companies that could use the commercial business here in PA, and I'll be emailing them to Jeff.

Thanks for bringing up a great topic for discussion. However, need more information before imparting my views:

"Let's say we have a customer that we are paying $5k a month." - We are paying $5k a month? Where is this calculation coming from?
"$1,000." You mention $1,000 which is 20% of $1,000 and then you mention $250 per month. What is that supposed to be?

"Cost of install and equipment is $30k". Why is this cost so high?? I thought Zen's business model is based on selling products for affordable price. I was expecting $5k for total package. Are you referring to Commercial?

I still don't fully understand the calculation basis. May be if you could elaborate so that all of us average participants and readers can understand better to give our opinions.

Thanks for bringing this interesting topic.

It cost us 0 just like the client. Our company simply makes contact, does a take off of any equipment, insulation, lights, solar, whatever it takes to make them energy efficient. We go through their recent cost, project new cost, submit paperwork. We do not pay for anything except for take off and paperwork which is in house. So with that in mind, we will make 5o million this year profit clear ,and honestly that is a really low estimate. Not to mention that just perhaps it could come up that we just happen to have our own electric and security company. This is also able to do in cities and towns, as in schools, courts, police station, city hall. There is no limit.

With endless variables, with commercial, industrial and residential, I cannot begin calculations. I have no starting points. I know that ARod stated that the 10 projects that are in progress now will be done in roughly 2 weeks.
