I heard from another LAX Pilot that the slides possibly failed and they had to use the stairs because they had no way to get the passengers off. FAA didn't care though since they already had completed certification. It's obvious that the FAA only cares about slides on the first aircraft the Airline is certifying for!
You would have thought this alone would ground Jet Blue too.... but I guess picking on the little guy like Baltia is just easier!
