We were talking about CA and competition in the market before you tried to hijack and steer the conversation away from the facts .

You assume they have more experience than SGBY, because they were the first, but SGBYs scientists were involved at the government level. They are not just a bunch of lab techs. No one knows for certain who is more experienced/savvier... and the market is going to be so huge, theres room for many players.

Lets keep in mind that the "first" of any sector is usually not the long term leader. Other business people copy and improve upon on the strategy. That is capitalism

SHL Berkeley lab is not near the growers... There will be small time grow operations in the bay area, but nothing like the Sacramento Valley, all the way up into Oregon, which is where the MAJORITY of all USA (possibly world) MJ will be grown and happens to be SGBY territory. The bay area is way too expensive and limited, compared to the North.

SGBYs Cali lab is located in the perfect area to dispatch lab techs throughout the major grow areas, which is why this location already has 1,300 customers, BEFORE the testing regulations. This is more than SGBY has with all 4 Oregon labs, combined... The Cali location was a strategic purchase, pull up a map.

Lets also consider that the people that "invented" cannabis testing are likely scientists and who wants a scientist running a public company?... I want a business person that has experience setting up and running multiple locations and have my scientists doing other things

Not many scientists would have come up with with a "Spoke and Hub" business model to drive down costs, cover more area/customers, lure customers away from the competitors, increase margins, etc.

Thanks for posting some DD tho. I know about SHL, they have been discussed here before, but imo SGBY is better positioned for growth. Im pretty sure (not certain) SGBY is on pace for more revs than SHL this year... More testing will happen near the commercial growers (SGBY territory), than Berkeley California, which is in the heart of nasty traffic. The MJ will never even get trasported that far before they figure out if its a pass or fail.

Location location location... SHL was started to test the weed at dispensaries, etc... but now the growers will be FORCED to do the testing themselves, so SHL might see a massive drop in business at that location. So their Cali presence isn't as great as it seems imo.
